This interactive web map displays open data from various sources that is relevant for land use planning, environmental management, regional development and other policies. This is what we at Alta do. We hope that the web map is useful and we intend to add new data as it beomes available.
In most cases additional info is shown of you clik an item on the map. Different basemaps and an aerial photo can be selected by clicking "Basemaps". We appreciate feedback by email to alta@alta.is.
Alta uses almost exclusively open source software for processing og geographic information, such as QGIS, Geoserver, PostGIS and OpenLayers. We can assist users of these systems.
